Overview
Effective July 27, 2026. Vendor Chats, LLC ("Vendor Chats," "we," "us") operates Vendor Chats, a platform for vendors and event organizers. These policies apply to vendors, coordinators, and visitors using our websites and apps.
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. It works together with our Terms and region-specific notices (including our California Privacy Notice).
Information we collect
- Account data from Clerk (sign-in identifiers, email, authentication metadata).
- Profile and business information you provide (names, contact info, photos, bios, locations, social links).
- Content you submit: event reviews, ratings, comments, Booth posts, direct messages, reports, and uploaded media.
- Event and attendance data you add or save (saved events, alerts, listings you create).
- Payment-related identifiers from Stripe (customer/subscription IDs; we do not store full card numbers).
- Usage, device, and log data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, approximate location from IP).
- Communications with support and moderation records when you contact us or are reported.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve Vendor Chats.
- Verify accounts and enforce Community Standards and Acceptable Use.
- Process subscriptions and send transactional messages.
- Send optional product emails or alerts you opt into (event reminders, Booth follow alerts, etc.).
- Comply with law and respond to legal requests.
Public and community content
Reviews, ratings, public vendor profiles, Booth posts, and similar content may be visible to other users and the public. Direct messages are visible to participants. Do not post sensitive personal data in public areas.
Retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce policies, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion subject to exceptions (fraud prevention, legal holds, backup retention).
Your choices and rights
You may update profile fields in settings, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, and request access or deletion via support@vendorchats.com. California residents have additional rights described in our California Privacy Notice.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
Vendor Chats is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
